Bay Area Engagement, wedding, couples, maternity Photographer
Hey! I'm so glad we found each other

I'm Jennifer - a wedding photographer based in the SF Bay Area

I pinch myself everyday that I'm lucky enough to own my dream business. I was always the creative kid who liked to draw and played instruments (piano & flute, if you're curious), but those mediums never felt just right. It wasn't until I picked up a camera at the age of 12 that I knew what I wanted to do. To this day, whenever I pick up a camera and start photographing my couples, I get an overwhelming feeling that this is what I'm MEANT to do.

Even though I don't shut up about it, I'm more than a photographer! Here's some fun facts about me to prove it -

  • I'm a huge dog lover, and have an Australian Shepherd named Carter (named after Lil Wayne)

  • I have been in a relationship for nearly 10 years now - we're high school sweethearts! :)

  • I absolutely love traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing cultures from all around the world! My favorite places I've traveled to are Japan and South Africa  ✈️

  • I'm a big outdoorsy person, happiest when outside in nature and fresh air. I love going on hikes, camping, and going on my daily hot girl walk!

  • I graduated with a degree in cinematography from California State University, Long Beach. So if you ever notice a cinematic quality to some of my photos, blame it on my college education!

  • I can (and often do) quote any line from the TV show Friends. I also love to binge-watch trashy reality TV, true crime documentaries, and anything featuring my queen Meryl Streep

  • I was born & raised in the Bay Area - Walnut Creek to be exact.  (a.k.a., I know all the secret spots for the best photoshoots!)

  • I have a very chilled out, calm, and easy-going personality. That being said, I'm secretly type A - I love efficiency, organization, and being productive!

  • If you care about horoscopes, I'm a Leo sun, Virgo rising, and Capricorn moon 🌙

  • I make the best avocado toast in the world (the secret is pesto). It's been my hyper-fixation breakfast for the past like 5 years now

my story

I fell in love with photography at the age of 12

When I was in middle school, my family took a trip to South Africa to visit our family friends who used to be our next-door neighbors (random, right?). My mom bought a new camera for the trip, and she handed it to me. She said she wanted to be present for the safaris, so I could take the photos if I wanted. We saw incredible animals on the safari, from a herd of 40+ elephants to lion clubs wrestling around. It was truly some of the best moments of my life, but what's crazy is I had just as much if not MORE fun playing around with the camera & taking pictures of the amazing animals as I did actually seeing these wonderful things in person. Since then I always said I wanted to be a photographer!

I wouldn't have it any other way

Engagement + Wedding photography is now my specialty

As you can see, I didn't start my photography journey by immediately photographing couples. After my trip to Africa, I photographed anything I could. My dogs, my friends - I swear I even remember taking a Barbie doll and posing it for photos around my grandma's house. But it wasn't until I got to college that I started taking photography seriously. I wanted to choose a career path that would make me truly happy and fulfilled, and I knew photography would do just that. I started my business at the age of 19, and haven't looked back since. After lots of grad photos, family photos, and more, I finally photographed my first couple. I instantly knew this was the right kind of photography for me - I'm such a sappy romantic and lover of all things LOVE. It was the perfect fit!

Love Notes From My Clients

Christopher + Dalia

We feel so lucky to have had [Jennifer] as part of our wedding. She struck the perfect balance between being assertive and kind, completely disarming us from the anxiety of the day. With her as our guide, we were able to feel completely present and in the moment, and we are forever grateful she was there for us. We were so impressed with how well Jennifer guided our family members with ease, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and true to themselves.
