My approach with family photos
There can be an element of stress with family photos - you just want your toddler to stand still and smile at the camera, or your teenager to be in a good mood long enough to get some nice photos.
Of course it's always my goal to get at least a few nice photos where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling. These are the photos you'll likely print and frame, or send over to grandma's house.
But I strongly believe the majority of the session should be spent having genuine quality time together as a family! Instead of struggling to get a child to stand still - let them be a kid and encourage them to run around and play beside you! These photos appear so much more natural, and capture the true essence of their spirit and your family dynamic that you'll love to look back on later.

This online gallery of 5+ edited photos is delivered within a week past your session date, because I know you'll be dying to see the photos and share them with your friends & fam ASAP!
Online Gallery
Your final gallery will be password protected and delivered 4-6 weeks past your session date. It will include all of your high-resolution, edited images, ready to be easily downloaded and shared with friends.

So you never have to worry about looking "awkward" in photos or not knowing what to do. Posing is my job, not yours! I have lots of ideas in my head and references to poses on my phone, so there will never be an "Um, what should we do now?" moment.

My PROCESS
Step 1
Fill out my contact form on the "Contact" page of this website to get the process started! I'll respond within 24-48 hours and we'll get to talking more about your vision and what you want from the session.
Step 2
Once you decide to officially book with me (yay, I can't wait!), I simply require a signed contract and 30% retainer. This locks in my commitment to photographing your family session. We'll finalize details such as the location, date, & timing of the session.
Step 3
Now that we're official, it's time for the fun part - the photoshoot! The lead up to the shoot can be stressful, trying to get the kids ready and pack them into the car on time, but once you arrive I encourage you to take a breathe and let the stresses go. Try to be fully present in the moment during the photoshoot, embracing this time with your family and letting things happen naturally. If we can do that, I promise it'll be fun!
Step 4
After the session, I get straight to work on editing those beautiful photos. I send a Sneak Peek gallery within a week after the session to ensure you can admire & share some images as soon as possible. Your final gallery takes 4-6 weeks to be delivered, but it will be well worth the wait. Our journey together has officially come to a close, for now. Don't worry - it's not goodbye, it's see you later!
