Now that we know what is included in each wedding collection, let's talk more in depth about which one would be the best fit for you!

Where Luxury meets security
The Enhanced Collection
For a standard, traditional wedding I typically recommend the Enhanced Collection. This is a package that comes with two photographers, which is beneficial for a few key reasons -
#1 It saves SO much time - the most valuable asset of a wedding day
#2 You get more coverage, ensuring extra safety to not miss important moments
#3 In case of emergencies - I know, we don't even want to think about it!
#4 More edited photos returned overall
Why a second photographer on you wedding day can save you *TIME*
Wedding professionals all know how beneficial it is to have a second photographer with you on the wedding day. It is similar to any other professional position having an assistant or second hand to help you - it greatly helps with time. If you are a bride or groom who is currently planning a wedding, you may have come to the realization that TIME is the most valuable asset of a wedding day - there just doesn't seem to be enough of it for all the fun things you want to do with your special day!
Here are some examples of how having two photographers can greatly save time on a wedding day:
When there are two wedding photographers, the lead photographer gets to stay with one partner during the getting ready portion of the day, while the 2nd photographer gets to stay with the other partner. This ensures we don't miss any special moments. (The alternative: If I was the only photographer, I would have to capture one partner's getting ready photos, then run or drive over to the other's location to get theirs. But what if a sweet, candid moment happens after I leave, or if there's not enough time to get both done thoroughly?)
Similarly, when one photographer captures the bride's and bridesmaid portraits, the other photographer can capture the groom's and groomsmen portraits. We love efficiency over here!
Why is more coverage important?
It's pretty clear how having a second photographer would result in more photo coverage of the wedding day overall, but why does that matter you ask? A specific example I like to cite is the moment of the bride walking down the aisle. Everyone wants a photograph of this special moment of course, but they ALSO want a photograph of the groom's reaction to the bride walking down the aisle. Since this moment happens simultaneously, it can be tricky to capture both well. If there are two photographers, one can solely focus on the bride while the other solely focuses on the groom. This applies to many more moments too, such as one photographer focusing on the bride during the bouquet toss, while the other focuses on the guests.
It is also common for the two photographers to coordinate what lenses they use for times like the ceremony or toasts, so that one photographer can be on a zoom lens and get close up shots, while the other can get wide shots of the same moment.
A final example I'll give in regards to wedding day coverage is about cocktail hour (the hour following your wedding ceremony). It may not be the most important moment of the day, but people typically still want photos of the appetizers they spent a lot of money on being served, the custom drinks they picked out, and their guests enjoying it all! The problem is that cocktail hour is typically when we take your family portraits and couples portraits, especially if you opted to not do a first look earlier in the day. When it is just me photographing these portraits, I'm therefore unable to get those cute cocktail hour candids.
Overall, two photographers can work together to get different angles, perspectives, and overall more coverage of your big day!
A 2nd photographer can be a lifesaver in the case of an emergency
I know we don't even want to think about it, but it's good to have a backup plan ready in case of an emergency! At the end of the day, cameras and other photography equipment are machines that are capable of breaking or malfunctioning. That is why I always bring two cameras with me on a wedding day. But even still, having a second photographer being present and having all their equipment with them can be a lifesaver in the case of an emergency such as a camera malfunctioning, battery dying, SD card failing, and more. I want to emphasize that it has never happened to me before, but you can never be too careful!
More photos taken = more edited photos returned!
It's pretty simple - with all the extra coverage that comes from a second photographer being present during your wedding day, it is a no brainer that you'll receive more edited photos in return. And that's what wedding photography is all about at the end of the day - giving clients those professionally edited photographs of their wedding that they'll treasure for the rest of their lives. Specifically looking at my wedding package options, you'll see that I deliver roughly 400 more edited photos with the Enhanced Collection vs. the Essentials Collection (which only comes with 1 photographer).
The Essentials Collection
While I stand by all the benefits I previously mentioned of having a second photographer at your wedding day, having one talented photographer be the sole capturer of your day is technically all you need to receive great wedding photos.
The important aspect of the Essentials Collection is that it includes full coverage of your day, and comes with a complimentary engagement session or add on of similar value!

From Getting Ready to Reception
Nearly every bride or groom that inquires with me wants full wedding day coverage. This makes perfect sense, as you spend so long planning and so much paying for all the little details of the day from your jewelry to your DJ; Of course you'll want it captured to remember forever! Some of the sweetest moments happen during the getting ready stage, like when your mom or maid of honor buttons up your dress. And some of the most FUN moments happen at the end of the night, when all the stress of planning is over and you're finally able to let loose and party with your loved ones! That's why with the Essentials Collection I offer up to 10 hours of coverage to not miss any moment. Heck, I'll be your personal alarm clock in the morning and tuck you in bed at night if you want me to.
À La Carte
While the wedding day itself holds so many meaningful moments, some of the most personal memories often happen outside of it. Events like the rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or a bridal or newlywed session offer space for quieter interactions, heartfelt toasts, and time with your closest people in a more relaxed setting. Adding à la carte coverage allows these moments to be documented with the same care and intention as your wedding day, creating a more complete story of your celebration and the season surrounding it.
Add ons
Rehearsal Dinner
Some of the most special and memorable moments happen the night before your wedding, at the rehearsal dinner. People often talk on the wedding day about how there was not a dry eye in the room during the rehearsal dinner speeches. These are moments you won't want to forget! Make sure they get captured so you can hold onto them forever.
$1,200 for two hours of coverage with 180-220 curated images delivered
Bridal Shower
You put so much into your bridal shower. You and your bridesmaids might spend hours DIY-ing decorations, planning a theme or location, sending invites, etc. You'll likely play fun games with your guests, open presents, and share stories and toasts to celebrate you and your partner as a couple. So many precious moments go into this day, so why not have it photographed to preserve the memory of it forever?
$1,200 for two hours of coverage with 180-220 curated images delivered
Bachelor or Bachelorette Party
Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties are nothing short of FUN. Legendary moments happen on this night that you definitely won't want to forget. You might rent a fancy airbnb and get ready with your girls before heading to the club, or show off your dance moves on a party bus. Whatever you do, think of how iconic it would be to get some direct flash, candid pics of the shenanigans you get in to! Perfect material for an Instagram photo dump, if you ask me.
$1,200 for two hours of coverage with 180-220 curated images delivered
Bridal Session
These types of sessions are so precious. Bridal sessions are typically done a few months before the wedding, and can be portraits solely of the bride or of the couple together. This is a stress-free way to capture gorgeous portraits of yourselves at an incredible location that elevates your photos to the next level. You can practice your hair and makeup to see if there's anything you'd change for your big day, and have gorgeous photos to display at your wedding.
$1,000 for 1.5 hours of coverage with 130-150 curated images delivered
Newlywed Session
A newlywed session is done shortly after the wedding. It captures your newly married bliss in a stress-free, intimate way with time to get creative and personal (as opposed to your bridal portraits on your actual wedding day, which are unfortunately often limited to make room for other events in your timeline). It's another chance to get use out of those expensive wedding outfits, OR put something on that feels more you!
$1,000 for 1.5 hours of coverage with 130-150 curated images delivered
Adding one or more of these à la carte options to customize your Wedding Collection might be right for you if:
You see the true value of photographs
If you're someone who loves pictures in general, this would be a great option for you! I believe photographs are the most cherished keepsake for people, especially when they're all you have left of someone. Pictures have a way of bringing you right back to that moment in time - how you were feeling, who you were with - when you look back on them over the years. The wedding day coverage is a no brainer, but how sweet would it be to have fun, quality photos to look back on of your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or other wedding activities too?
You have lots of celebrations planned leading up to your big day
Nowadays, it's about so much more than the wedding day itself. You might have a bachelorette trip to Scottsdale coming up, or a garden party themed bridal shower your sweet bridesmaids are putting together for you. People often cite the rehearsal dinner toasts as even more authentic and memorable than those on the wedding night, since the atmosphere created there is automatically more close-knit. If I were you, I would want to have these super special moments captured as well!
You want to work with a photographer that you're very comfortable with
Your wedding day is such a big deal - trust me, I do not take it lightly! Once-in-a-lifetime moments happen during this day, such as reading of private vows , your mom or maid of honor zipping you into your dress, etc. These moments are rather intimate - there might be one or two other people in the room, plus your photographers to capture it. That's why you want your photographer to be someone you are genuinely comfortable with. Spending more time together on days like your engagement session and rehearsal dinner will help create a bond between us, so come wedding day I know we'll already be besties!
You want to remember all the little details you spent so much time, money, & effort on!
If you're planning multiple events leading up to the big day, that takes a ton of hard work and dedication. Everything from the florals to the food served is meticulously planned ahead of time. Sure you can snap some photos of how it all turns out on your iPhone, but don't underestimate the power of professional photographers with their high-quality equipment, posing and lighting expertise, and post-process editing to ensure the photos are polished to perfection! Not to mention, it will be more stress-free to be present in the moment instead of being on content duty.
my final thoughts
To Summarize -
Overall, the Enhanced Collection offers the most comprehensive coverage and flexibility. With two photographers, your day can unfold more smoothly, allowing for a well-paced timeline, broader coverage, and added peace of mind — all while capturing a wider range of moments and perspectives throughout the day. If you’re planning a more intimate or streamlined celebration and feel confident working with one experienced lead photographer, the Essentials Collection may be the perfect fit. It still includes full wedding day coverage and an engagement session, with a focus on thoughtful storytelling and a beautifully curated gallery. À la carte coverage is also available for events that often hold just as much meaning, such as the rehearsal dinner or bridal shower, for couples who would like those moments documented as well.
However you choose to celebrate, Jennifer Hoehn Photography is here to support you and create imagery that reflects your day with care and intention.
